My name is Leticia Aquino. I live in São Paulo, Brazil.
My home is an apartament. I live with my brother and my parents.
My city is big. Like any other big city, there´s a lot of traffic, some places where the water and the air are polluted... but here, in my neighbourd, the place is very peaceful and I have a lot of good friends.
Like any other city in the world, there are drugs, alcohol and other bad things but it isn´t the worst place in the world to live.
There are some places where the violence is bigger, but here where I study and live is very good.

Leticia

My name is Andre. I live in Brazil. I live in São Paulo and this city is the biggest one of Brazil.
And as all the big cities of the world. It has a lot of pollution, traffic and lots and lots of people.
The streets are not safety to walk, you are always afraid of being assaulted. There are so much violence here, a lot of drugs, that make you afraid of your own shadow when you are walking on the street.
Fortunatelly, these things don´t happen in my neighbourhood. Here I live in an apartment and I have a calm life.
The air in São Paulo is too polluited because of the great number of cars and busses that ride every day here.
We also have subways and trains too. The water of a river that we have is too polluted too, but it´s getting less polluted because the govern is doing his best to clean it.
Oh! I forgot to sag that I have a lot of good friends here. See you later, bye.

Andre

In front of her building there´s a German Club. The streets are very safe to walk.
The neighbourhood is peaceful. There are no drugs and alcohol. She has good friends living nearby.

Second part

From Santo Estevam School

I live in São Paulo a big city where i live is peaceful, and it´s near school, too.
So, I get to school by foot ( I walk to school). My neighbohood isn´t violent. I fell safe walking in the street.
The air is a little polluted, but where ins´t polluted?
We have polluted air here, cause there are a lot of cars and factories.
But it isn´t just the air that is polluted.
Even the rivers here are polluted, the water has a grecial treatment before it gets into the houses, and we can drink it with no big problems.
And our principal public transportation are trains and cars.

Leticia Aquino

I live in a big Brazilian´s city.
My neigbourhood is peaceful, there aren´t drugs and alcohol.
The streets aren´t very calm but there is not a lot of traffic.
My school is very near my apartment and so is my english school..
I go to school on foot and when it´s raining my parents take me there.
The air is a little polluted because of the cars.
My apartment is very near na avenue and on this avenue yhere´s a lot of cars and buses passing every day.
Most people use cars, buses and sometimes they use bikes just to ride nearby.
The water is good, everybody can drink it but there are some people that buy water in bottles.
They want to buy but it´s not necessary.

Cintia Guedes

I live in a city, in a big city, São Paulo. Here have many people, many cars and the traffic is very busy.
I go to school by car. Tha air is not very good because there are many cars and buses and factories it.
I have to buy water in bottles. Most people go to work or school by buses.

Ana Lucia

Hi!

It´s Andre from Brazil again.
I live in a big city, with lots of great things to do and to visit.
The area where I live is a calm place, without too much violence, contrasting with the others part of the city.
I live near my school ( about 8 blocks), and I usually go there on foot.
In this part of the city it is safe to walk on the street.
We have near here many places to pratctice all kinds of sports. The most popular sport here is soccer.
The air is polluted by cars and busses, and most people use busses to go to work, but we have trains, subways.
Some people go to work or school riding their bicicles, but the majority, go work in their own car.

See you

Andre

Third part

From Santo Estevam School.

Brazil, my country, has some big cities, and I live in one of them.
People here do all kind of jobs to support themselves and their families.
We have here masons, engineers, lawyers, robbers... all kind of occupations, and all of them, except for robbers, contribute to make my country go on.
Of course that living in a big city has its negative aspects.
Here there are too much violence, there are poor people, a lot of traffic, drugs and pollution not only in the air, but also visual and mental.
Everywhere you walk you can see a lot of advertisements, outdoors, etc.
The TV and films pollute your mind with trash (programs or movies that are good-for-nothing).
My country was covered by a vast forest, but the development destroyed a good part of it.
This week a great fire in the North of the country is destroying good part of the Amazon Forest that still survives from the deforestation of the men.
Fireman from all part of Brazil are there trying to extinguish the fire. Let's see what will happen.

See you, Andre

From Santo Estevam School

My country as large as it is has a lot of big cities. And I live in the one of the biggest.
It's named São Paulo and concetrates most of the industries and the economy of the country.
For living, people do a lot of works here in brazil. And like in any other country we have 3 big groups of economy that includes basically all kinds of jobs.
We have the primary, the secondary and the third sectors. Most of the population work on the last one, that includes installment of services.
We're starting to be worried about the atmosphere and the environment. But like any other big city, the environment could be better.
We have a lot of industries here in São Paulo, and as all of you know, industry disturbs the environment too much.
The responses to the question about environment will vary.
Our brazilian atmosphere is good, and very well - known in all world thouught the Amazon rain forest. Everyone knows this forest but in the last 2 months it has been suffering a lot with this fire and deforestation.
I think, like any other part of the world, the environment could be better here in Brazil.
But nevertheless, we have a good one and if we take care about it, it can last for centuries.

Leticia Aquino

There is one big city for each state but there are three bigest cities in Brazil: Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and São Paulo, where I live.
The environment in my country is big. We have a big forest: the Amazon rainforest. And we have the Atlantic forest too.
The Amazon forest is in the Amazon's state. This forest is the biggest in the world and a lot of people are interested in it.; because in it there is a lot of different animals and plants.
The Atlantic forest is not a big as Amazon forest. I think that is very important to care about our environment.
It is very important to our health to have a place with lots of trees.
The world needs a place like the Amazon forest and if we destroy our nature, we are going to destroy ourselves and nobody wants to destroy its own life!

Cintia Guedes

From Santo Estevam School

Here is the 4th part of Blue Print:

The pollution of CO2 usually comes from the cars, busses, factories and fires athat are destroying our forest and emitting to our atmosphere great quantity of CO2.
The emission of CO2 can affect our weather.
It can makethe Earth became more warm and possibly this warm can liquefy ice fiels of the North and South Pole,
flooding the coast cities, disceminating chaos and terror among the inhabitants of the coast cities.
All our trash can pollute our planet. Since our domestic trash as our chemical trash.
This problem is largest in the group of countries that are called "of the first World".
This group have more problems with their trash because they produce more trash.
And not only domestic trash, they produce chemical trash too that is a result of their status of development.
They have more cars on their streets and almost all their native vegetation was destroyied by fires.

See you, Andre Ichihara

Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya, Jaipur India
sharadbirmiwal@usa.net

Hi,

I am Sharad Birmiwal and I study in Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya , Jaipur(India).
My teacher (Mrs. Neeti Kaul) told me about Blue Print Earth.
I have asked my very good friend Mudit Jaju, to consider about the answers of your questions.
Mudit said - " My house is a bungalow in a suburb that is developing at a very high rate and is almost a part of the city.
I live in Jaipur, an important Indian city. My daily routine consists of school, studies and evening games.
My life is very routined and studies and sleeping take up most of my time. The environment in my neighbourhood is pretty as we aren't in the heart of the city. There are few trees, mainly in the gardens.
Our roads are the ideal cricket pitch type, which are fully exploited by the sports-minded. Parrots, mynas and occasional peacock are sighted.
There are mostly bungalows with gardens and seasonal flowers like dahlias, phlox, zenia, lilies, roses of vibrant colours which add splendour to our colony. I wish all of Jaipur had so many flowers as I am an anthomaniac."
This is what I have to say - "My house is a flat in the suburb. There is construction going on in my colony just because a new Legislative Assembly is being built near by.
I have everything in my life which I need. My School is 1-2kms away from my house. I go their mostly by bike with my elder brother, sometimes I go their by bicycle.
There is a small park just in front my house. I play their in the evening. There are 3-4 trees in the park but more are being planted. I have a very simple life and I try to enjoy it as much as I can."
I am sending few 3D photos of my house from different angles which I made my self in POV-ray (There is no roof in the picture but in the real one, I do have. In the place of doors and windows, blank rectangles are shown).

I am sending to you the last work. I loved this project. It was my first project with the Kidlink.

Thank you, Luciana

The world is becomming wearer
Every time I look around
The nature is getting smaller
And the solution, I don't know anyone that found

Please let the world
Breath with a litlle bit relief
It's like the environment is going
Like a robbery by a thief.

Why just can we have peace?
With no one stealing it from us
Why just ca we breath
And be think for our world just for what it give (to) us.

"Nuestro Ambiente Global" El Efecto Invernadero

Personajes:

Niño acusado de tirar basura: Baruch
Defensa: Iva'n e Israel
Fiscales: He'ctor, Juan Carlos y Eduardo
Jurados: Pedro, Araceli, Dinorah y Arizbeth
Juez: Mario

J: De que' se le acusa?
F: De tirar basura y contaminar el mundo
Pide la palabra Hector
J: Hable usted
He'ctor: Pero podri'an poner bolsas

Personajes

Acusadores: Hector, Pedro, Israel y Arizbeth
Guardin: Juan Carlos
Defensa: Rauol y Arizbeth
Acusado: La fa'brica contaminante, Iva'n.
Jueces: Baruch y Dinorah

He'ctor: Solamente si comieras tu solo y no te acabaras la comida habri'a desperdicios.

Iva'n: El dijo (señalando a Pedro).

Hello friends...

Here is our answer to the first part of Blue Print.

We are 21 students in our class, 12 boys and 9 girls.
We live in Arendal, the hometown of Kidlink - at a place called Eydehavn.

What is your home like? - This is Synne's house...

Eydehavn is a small place built because there is a factory here. Look at our homepage and click at the English page...

Most of the kids in 5th grade live in a house with a garden. There is not much traffic at Eydehavn, some large trucks come from the factory every now and then... There are also some cars driving around.
When we want to go to town, we use the bus. It takes about 15-20 minutes to teh town center.
We all like it here, and would like to go on living here... The air is mostly fresh, but some times there is smoke from the factory, and it smells bad.
We live on the coast, and the water is clean in the sea... In summer we like to go to the beach here, and swim.
We think it is safe to walk on the streets even in the evenings, when it is dark. Our neighbourhood is peaceful.
In summer we can go out in our boats and have a good time....
We don't know if there are anyone using drugs here...
We have good friends here at school, but sometimes we fight....
We will bring some pictures and put them on the web later...

From friends at Eydehavn school

(our teacher helped us translate into English)

Second part

Eydehavn is a suburb to Arendal. The city has about 38.000 people. If you look at the map, you'll see that we live by the coast.
Our school is also at Eydehavn, and just a few of the 5th graders have to go to school by bus. From 5th grade we can use our bikes to go to school.
Our school is closer to a forest and a lake. We have a soccer field outside our classroom. Both girls and boys like to play soccer in the breaks.
If you visit our homepage, you'll see a picture of our school.
We feel safe on the street where we live... and we have some places to play in-door and a lot of places to play out-door.
In summertime, we can ride down to the beach in 10 minutes and jump in - if the water is warm enough...

How is the air where you live?
We have a chemical plant at Eydehavn, and 6-7 of the students in our class have got parents working there..
The plant is very important for Eydehavn. That's why we stil have the smell and dust from the plant...
The water is OK - in the sea. We can you drink it fresh water from the tap. Busses are the public transportation we use. There are busses going to the town center once every hour, but there are also a lot of people using cars. Most people use cars, but we use our bikes a lot in spring, summer and autumn..

We like it here at Eydehavn....
Perhaps you should come and visit us one day????

From your firends at Eydehavn school......

Second part

Hello everybody!

We live in Täby. Täby is a suburb north of Stockholm, the capitol of Sweden.
All pupils in the class live near a wood. In the neighbourhood where we live (and around the school) are no big roads.
Most of the children walk or uses the bike to school. All of us feel safe and think it's a safe place to live at.
We're playing both inside and outside at school and at home.
There are big spaces to play on at home. The air is fine.
There are no big factories in the area. A lot of cars are driving in the city.
We can drink our tapwater and it tastes good. We can swim in our lakes and in the Baltic Sea. But the water can get cleaner.
Almost everybody drives cars or uses the buses. There is also a train that goes to Stockholm.
Täby has a long history and thus a lot of relics of antiquity.

From your friends in Sweden, Täby, Rösjöskolan

Third part

Sweden has a lot of woods and is very good at sports. We have a great national team in ice hockey, Tre kronor.
Here are some names of players in NHL and Tre kronor:

Mats Sundin , Toronto
Peter Forsberg, Colorado
Nicklas Lidström, Detroit
Ulf Samuelsson, NY
Tommy Saloin, Islanders
Erik Andersson, Calgary

We have many handsome boys and girls in our country.
Our capitol Stockholm is "the culture capitol of the World 1998".
There are many good artists in Sweden, for example:

Ace of Bace
Roxette
Yngwie Malmsteen
Robyn
Eagle-Eye Cherry

We have not so many big cities, but Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö are pretty big cities.
In Sweden we work with industry (Volvo cars), medicine, office work, forestry, computers, politics and farming.
We have fine security in Sweden. The Swedish police is very nice. We trust theme. But we have pretty much drugs and criminality also.
We have had one big poison accident recently in the south of Sweden (Hallandsåsen). Otherwise we are good at taking care of dangerous things.
The animals which are in endangeres spices in Sweden are for example Lynx, bear, alpfox, sea eagle.

Bye for now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your friends in class 4a Røsjøskolan in Tâby, Sweden

The greenhouse effect is the substances that reflect the beams of the sun back to surface. We need the greenhouse effect to remain the warm temperature on earth. But the pollution from industries causes in balance- it gets warmer. That is not good.
50% of the greenhouse effect is caused by CO2. The gas has increased a lot since the industrial revolution began..
The most dangerous thing about the greenhouse effect is that the water level is getting higher.
Except CO2 there are gases like ozone, methane, CFC, N2O that causes the greenhouse effect.
Deforestation and aircraft among other things contributes to the greenhouse effect.
To prevent this we must be more aware of our environment.

Bye bye from your friends in class 4a, Røsjøskolan, Sweden.

First part

Hello!

This is how it looks like where we live:

Most of us in our class live in flats in a village called Arlov wich is situated outside Malmo.
Some of us live in villas and some in rowhouses. Malmo is Sweden's third biggest city.

At home we recycle paper, glas, cans, batteries etc. In the neighbourhood we have an environmentalstation where you can leave dangerous products like paint and ligroin.

The air outside is also clean because here aren't too many heavy factories.
There are two mainstreets wich are heavily traficked during the rush hours, but we hav motorways too, just outside Arlov.

Public transports are buses and trains that are used diligently durint the rush hours.

The neighbourhood is calm and drugs aren't too common. The students in Junior High has gone through a project called the DARE-project. There you learn to say NO to drugs, alcohol and violence because it damages your body.

Here many families live with children. It's safe to walk on the streets even at nights, there are no streetgangs that beat up each other.

Hi!

Last time we wrote to you we descrubed how it looks where we live.

And now we will tell you some more.

We live in a small village called Arlov. Here is quite calm but alot of traffic during the rushhours.
The schools are situated near redidential areas. Most of us walk to school but some take the bike.
The streets are safe at nights.

Here are many playgrounds for the small children and sparetimeclubs for older ones.
The air is very fresh and the water i clean so you can dring it from the tap.

The public transportation are buses and trains and they are used frequently. It takes 7 minutes by train and about 15 minutes by bus to the nearest town wich is Malmo with 250 000 inhabitants.

We go to Malmo once in a while to do shopping and to see a movie. But at friday and saturday nigths you are not safe in Malmo.
It happens that people get robbed or beaten up by youngsters who need money or something to hit.
