Juror: "I really enjoyed the theme of this competition. It is amazing how kids can interpret and present their perspectives on the open-ended statement of "Peace is when.." An example of what put a smile on my face was the entry from Ana Maria! It was a true to heart interpretation that spoke volumes and yes, it made me realize that peace comes with the simplest of actions and situations like a blissful nap with your beloved pet. It's true! You don't think of war or animosity during a moment like that, just pure contentment. The other thing that was amazing was the awareness of not just what is associated with peace like multi-racial harmony but also the keen understanding from the kids that preventing or as they have indicated, "stamping out! " and "crossing out" situations like war or other forms of fighting will bring about peace. Again, that kind of awareness speaks volumes that just maybe, the next generation will get things right for society and the world. Well done to both the winners and all those who took the time to submit their work to this competition! It has been a real pleasure judging the entries!" Lavinia Tan, Singapore.
